Collection: Tokyo Rig

The Tokyo Rig consists of a wide gap hook that is connected to a swivel and a metal rod via a snap ring onto which you can mount weights. As a variation of the drop shot rig, it offers some key advantages:

The separation of the rubber bait and weight improves the hook rate. The rubber bait plays better and can be sucked in more easily. The rig enables greater casting distances due to good flight characteristics and can also be used effectively in muddy ground. By slowly and steadily reeling in the bait stays slightly above the ground and the weight stirs up sediment to attract the attention of predatory fish.
